Pot or Container Gardening

One way of gardening is container gardening or pot gardening. Container gardening is a process of carrying out an idea of growing plants in container instead of planting in the ground. This kind of gardening is more easier than those with the other ways of gardening. It's because you can grow almost anything in a container. Gardening in pots and containers gives you the ability to insure great soil, experiment with color, move your garden with the sun and raise your garden to a comfortable working height.
In container gardening it is important to choose properly the kind of container that you should use in order for your plant to grow well and the kind of container you will use will also affect the growth of your plants. The following lists will help you in choosing the appropriate container or pot to be used:
*You should make sure that there is enough space in the pot for the plant and the soil.
*Avoid containers with small width openings.
*Set pots on bricks or blocks to allow free drainage of water from the pot.
*You should remember that clay is permeable and water is drain from the sides of the pots when you choose a clay pot.
*It is better that the plants in clay pots is monitored closely for loss of moisture.
*During hot climates use light-colored containers to lessen heat absorption and discourage uneven root growth.
*The size of the container is also significant. The size of the container will depend on the size of the plants you have.
