Tree Planting

Trees are very important not just because of the benefits it can give but what it can do to the environment and to the society. In fact trees are very essential to life and people have to admit that we will not exist without trees. Instead of destroying them we should learn to protect them.

Planting trees is one way of preserving them. Planting trees is an easy way to beautify our environment and it will also produce a favorable impression to people. The simple tips in planting trees are listed below:

* Dig a shallow, broad planting hole and make the hole wide.
* Know where the roots spread at the base of the tree.
* For seedlings with bare roots, spread the roots out well and never roll them up in the soil.
* Before putting the tree in the planting hole prune the dead and broken branches.
* Place the seedling as upright as possible, even on hills.
* Don't plant seedlings near water holes, stumps, or rocks.
* Plant the seedlings at the right depth. For bare root seedlings, the root collars should be at ground level.
* If your tree is in container, don't remove it until just before planting.
* Roots should not be exposed in the air.
* Never bury the branches.
* Do not trim roots.
* If you're planting more than one tree, don't put them too close together.

*****I plant a lot of trees. I am a great believer in planting things for future generations. I loathe the now culture where you just live for today. *****
